The location is central in the city near all the facilities. Clean and comfortable.

We were 2 friends in one room and asked for separate beds. I was surprise as the lady gave us 3 beds, one extra bed for 25 euros. So it was expensive for us and when we came there were no staff available in the reception. The towels are very rough and old. There was no window in the bathroom, and there was not enough shampoo.

Nice Hostal for a city trip.

The location is great, you can reach everything via foot - the Prado, the Plaza Mayor, etc. Also, there are many nice restaurants, bars and shops close by. The Hostal was clean and the beds are big and comfortable. The Hostal is located on the 4th floor (with an elevator), so you don't hear the noise from the street (if you have a room towards the inner courtyard).

The staff was for the most part very friendly but one staff member spoke very loud in front of our door during siesta time and wouldn't understand that this was rude.

Loved it.

Everything went smoothly. Communication was excellent and the room was extremely clean. I had everything I needed. For one person there were plenty of towels, Instructions were on point. I would totally go back!

I found it difficult to use the shower but that might have been a ME problem. The water was not as hot as I expected

The location was excellent with a grocery store across the street and a pharmacy. It was close to three or four major squares and quite walkable to a lot of sites. The room was spotless and it was a nice size. The bed was extremely comfortable. There were quite a few eating spots fancy casual on the run very near the hotel. We will definitely return.

Superb

Great location, you can't beat this one. The hostal is located in a building with multiple hostals at each floor. Hostal Alexis is located on the 4th floor. Although the elevator looks old fashioned, it has been modernised and is safe to use (you will understand once you see it :-). The actual hostal is not clearly marked (see picture of the entrance). Personnel is really friendly, they've asked multiple times if they needed to clean the room or if I needed anything. Reception is not staffed between 13-18:00 hrs. Instructions on how to access your room are share, well in advance, if you are scheduled to arrive outside reception hours.
